Sustainability Services

Space Solutions has a dedicated Sustainability Team that provides a range of services for developers and occupiers of non-domestic buildings. The services provide support and advice throughout the life cycle of a building and as such are applicable for new build projects, as well as existing buildings in operation. Our sustainability professionals can be incorporated within design teams or act independently to provide impartial advice.

Our Sustainability Services can assist companies to meet their Corporate Social Responsibility obligations and to achieve ISO 14001 objectives. We also provide services to assist public sector organisations to meet funding criteria for development projects and for private sector organisations to take advantage of tax breaks. 

We aim to:

• make positive environmental impacts in buildings and external spaces through analysis and design;
• gain cost savings for occupiers through efficient use of resources and management of waste; and
• improve the health of users in working environments.

We can provide:

• Environmental Opportunities Assessments to identify potentially significant cost savings by improving energy, water and waste efficiencies
• BREEAM assessments for various building types
• Recommendations and assistance with implementing changes within the workplace to reduce corporate carbon footprint
• Ongoing monitoring and reporting for buildings in occupation to support maintenance regimes and management systems
• Conceptual design proposals for new build and refurbishment projects using sustainable principles
