Aberdeen-based architectural practice and relocations specialists, Space Solutions, is adding another major service to their professional portfolio, with the announcement of a new property support service. “Porters Plus” is launched today, offering a range of property support services including traditional trade skills such as French polishing and works including hanging shelves or pictures and other services as required by each client. Steve Judge, Managing Director explained “Our relocations and operations division has grown hugely over the last few years. Clients have consistently been getting added value from our porters as they undertake additional services as part of post-move support. This led to demand for a more formalised support service which will be marketed as part of our Relocations package.”Clients will be able to have a contract for services to suit their unique requirements, ranging from basic handyman services which can be acquired by the hour, through to a full-time secondment where an operator offers a long-term service to a client – crucially getting to know the people, culture and systems so the service is absolutely personal to that organisation. Steve points out the benefits available to clients, “Trust is vital and clients need to buy services from the people they know well and have developed a long term relationship with. After all, if you needed to bring in a French polisher to rescue the Chairman’s favourite table, you’re far more likely to feel relaxed with a long-standing partner than with a stranger plucked from a directory!” To put together this team of important tradesmen, who will be full-time, permanent employees, Space has recruited 3 additional personnel with some team members also joining from other companies within the Chess Group to provide a wider offering. The Space Solutions cube will enjoy even greater visibility in the Granite City as the new “Porters Plus” liveried vehicles take to the road. “The reality is” stressed Steve Judge “that there is a huge number of smaller and medium-sized companies in the City who may only need to call on these services from time to time, but when they do they need to know that reliability and quality is implicit in the service. With the architectural pedigree that we have at Space, potential clients can be confident that they’re in safe and professional hands”.
