| Mellon looks to Space Solutions |
 Architecture and design practice, Space Solutions has been appointed to design and refurbish a further 5,000 sq ft of office space for international financial services company, Mellon Financial Corporation. The project at their Capital House premises on Festival Square in Edinburgh follows the successful refurbishment of a similar space earlier this year.The first phase of the refurbishment project included the main reception area, the central meeting and conference facility as well as an open plan office and ancillary areas. Gary McGurk, business manager with Space Solutions, commented: “We are naturally delighted to have been awarded this new contract after successfully completing the first phase on time and within budget.” “The initial refurbishment project was fantastic to work on, particularly as it demonstrated our wide range of professional services from the initial consultation, design, project management through to the relocation of staff and installation of the furniture. The project consisted of a complete strip out and renewal of the Mechanical and Electrical systems, suspended ceiling, flooring, partitions and the reception desk.”  Fiona Taylor, facilities manager for Mellon’s Edinburgh operations, commented: “I was absolutely delighted with the service provided and the professionalism shown by the team at Space Solutions.
