Space Solutions has recently attained ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for their Edinburgh operations following months of hard work.

Director of central belt operations, Derek Binnie, explains the process, “A decision was taken in July 2005 that accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 would provide major benefits to our internal efficiency and provide a platform to continuously improve to the service on offer to Clients.  After a comprehensive programme of defining systems and procedures we were delighted to receive accreditation at the end of March.”

The systems and procedures and now being rolled out at other Space Solutions operations in Glasgow and Aberdeen, with each being tailored to suit the particular work environment.  

Derek continues, “Gap analysis meetings have already taken place and we face several months of hard work to ensure that our systems and procedures will meet the requirements of the BSI auditor.  We are confident that we can achieve accreditation at the remaining locations by the end of the year.”
