Angus Smith and his team continue the exciting business of developing the design for the 12,500 sq ft multi resource centre for Inspire (formerly known as Partnership Housing) which will be located at Beach Boulevard in Aberdeen.
“This is a fascinating project” says Architect, Angus Smith. “We have to fulfil a number of very specific needs which makes the design process a great challenge. The ground floor will include a restaurant with double training kitchen, a suite of enabling rooms and a multi-use recreational facility. Floor one is a series of conference and meeting rooms and the top floor will be HO accommodation”.
Specialist professionals including occupational therapists have been involved in the design development to ensure that the varying needs of the service users are fully met. “This is an exciting project for the whole team” said Angus. “It’s not often that we have the opportunity to design a building with such a wide range of specialist spaces”.
Inspire is a charity which provides a number of services for people with learning disabilities.
