Aberdeen relocations team success
The Aberdeen team of Space Solutions commercial relocations division is on target to net contracts worth in excess of £1 million by the end of the year.

Since January they have more than 8,000 people and 50,000 crates from 120 different organisations.  All have been relocated using Space Solutions’ unique three-stage planning process, designed to ensure each move is managed efficiently with minimal disruption to everyday business.

The division has been so successful that Space Solutions has launched a bid to find new premises for the team, offering secure storage for client crates and furniture during relocation projects.

High profile relocations contracts secured by the division include the transferral of 460 staff to Chevron’s prestigious new premises at Hill of Rubislaw in Aberdeen as well as projects for Vetco, Marathon and Maersk.

The division works in partnership with customers to devise the optimum relocations strategy to suit their project schedule, with the bonus of having access to the full range of Space Solutions professional property services, expertise and knowledge.

The full move management package includes decant methodology planning, relocation planning and management, commercial relocations, crate hire, furniture installation and logistics, secure storage, porter and handyman services, post relocation support and IT support services.

“The relocation process is often the aspect of a project that can create the biggest scope for disruption,” said Lee Brandie, (delete Space Solutions) business manager for the Aberdeen relocations team.
“Our commercial relocations team remove the uncertainty and stress of commercial moves and reorganisations. They are skilled at decanting and working in occupied office buildings and facilitate seamless transitions, whether the move involves 5 or 500 personnel and concerns a single or multi-site move.

“Each of the contracts we have secured recently reflects our ongoing commitment to meet the present and future needs of our clients whilst reinforcing our drive towards becoming the leading commercial relocations provider in Scotland. With teams both in Aberdeen and the central belt we are well placed to cater to both independent businesses and national clients operating on a multi-site basis.”

Steve Judge, managing director of Space Solutions, said: “We have made significant investment in our relocations division in recent months in line with our growth plans for the rest of the business. It is clear from the response we have had from our clients that this is a great additional service which fully complements our existing architecture, space planning and contracting capabilities and we look forward to seeing the division expand even further once it has a base of its own.”
