Following a year of substantial growth which saw turnover grow year-on-year by nearly 110% to £1.3 million for the Edinburgh office alone, commercial building design specialists Space Solutions has expanded its central belt operations.  The Edinburgh office has doubled its workforce; promoted central Scotland manager Derek Binnie to board director and opened an office in Glasgow.

Derek Binnie’s promotion to board director has been as a result of the firm’s outstanding financial performance over the last year.  Derek started the business three years ago and has over 15 years related experience and is responsible for the growth and development of Space Solutions in the central belt with a staff of nearly 30 across two offices.

He is assisted by Clive Cruickshank who has been appointed as associate director.  Clive is a hugely experienced project architect who assumes responsibility for the delivery of all architectural and design projects from the central belt team.

David Brunt joins Space Solutions as operations manager and is based in the firm’s Edinburgh office.  David previously worked with the logistics group, Hays and has wide experience of furniture installation management, logistics and distribution services.
