Contract ManagementOur contracts team will create and manage suitable refurbishment schedules to ensure that projects are carried out successfully in time and on budget. Full project planning and management services will enable clients to remain focussed on their own business whilst the premises are being refurbished. Contract managers will appoint, coordinate and manage all contractors involved, providing a single line of communication and responsibility. When undertaking on-site works whilst a building remains occupied, contractors will be scheduled to minimise disruption, even working through the night to reduce noise pollution. Quantity SurveyingThe Space Quantity Surveying team regularly price and receive quotes from sub-contractors for various work packages. This market knowledge is then applied when budget costs are prepared for any refurbishment works. Cost confidence comes from the fact that rates are constantly being checked and cross-checked by our QS team who price and tender works on a daily basis. When working closely with the design team, our QS team can also advise on costs relating to specification, allowing the designer to make the best decisions on finishes in relation to the client’s expectations for budgets. CDM CoordinationCompanies undertaking large projects (projects over 30 day’s construction) will be required to appoint a CDM Coordinator who will act as the client’s key advisor on health and safety issues. It is the CDM Coordinator’s role to bring together designers, construction teams and health and safety advisors prior to building work getting underway. They will also be responsible for reviewing changes to the design throughout the construction phase and for preparing the relevant health and safety documents.
