Environmental Opportunities Assessments

The Environmental Opportunities Assessment (EOA) aims to identify the potential for more efficient use of energy, waste and water within an organisation’s operations and to report on options for improvement.

Space Solutions can assist with the implementation of the recommendations of an EOA, all of which can have both environmental and economic benefits for an organisation, such as:

• an increase in profits whilst reducing carbon emissions
• reduced expenditure on utilities
• reduced expenditure on environmental taxes through improved environmental management
• improved staff morale, productivity and retention
• support for environmental management systems certified to ISO 14001
• assistance to provide suitable evidence to meet tendering requirements through FPAL and other schemes

The assessment is tailored to suit an organisation’s operations and aspirations and will have a defined scope as approved by the client. This ensures that recommendations are realistic and achievable and take into account known limitations for implementation, such as tenancy lease agreements. All recommendations are subject to a cost-benefit analysis and are prioritised in order of greatest environmental benefit.

An EOA can also be provided as a standalone report for implementation by others.
